April 5, 2020 Friendship Village Senior Services’ Visitor Policy In the effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, Friendship Village is implementing the following actions regarding visitors: No visitors have been allowed inside the Village Care Centers (skilled nursing facilities) or Assisted Living since early March. No visitors have been allowed inside our independent living buildings for the past 2-3 weeks. Friendship Village Senior Service’s Update and Response to COVID-19 as of Sunday, April 5, 2020 Dear Friends, Residents and Families of Friendship Village: NO Resident on either the Chesterfield or the Sunset Hills campuses have been diagnosed with the COVID-19 coronavirus as of Sunday morning, April 5, 2020. This status applies to all Residents at all levels of care. We urge families of Residents to heed “Stay at Home” orders and completely refrain from coming to the campus. Friendship Village Senior Services’ April 4, 2020 Response to COVID-19 Dear Friendship Village residents, staff and families, On Friday evening we learned that an employee of our Friendship Village Chesterfield skilled nursing community tested positive for Covid-19. The employee went to a local hospital with symptoms of asthma after leaving work on Thursday. The employee did not work on Friday. As of Saturday morning, no residents have exhibited any COVID-19 symptoms.
