Rudi Heider turned 107 on April 29th and, on the same day, met all of the benchmarks for recovery from COVID-19. It is believed that he is the oldest person in the United States to have survived the disease. Friendship Village and Create Circles Collaborate to Combat Negative Side Effects of Social Isolation

Senior citizens and college students to pair up, virtually, through innovative program Friendship Village and Create Circles are partnering to help combat the loneliness many older adults are facing due to social isolation as a result of the COVID-19 stay-at-home order. The non-profit Create Circles, with the support of Washington University’s geriatricians, is focused on bringing the university’s students, as well as various students from colleges around Missouri, together – virtually – with older individuals to bring humanity and social connection back. 100 Lunches Donated to Employees at Friendship Village Sunset Hills!

A HUGE THANK YOU to Bill Letchworth and all the folks at Soccer Master who donated 100 meals (WITH a frozen treat from Culver’s!) to our Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation employees today (April 24th) at Friendship Village Sunset Hills! Soccer Master has been coordinating a donation effort for the last several weeks as they have been selling “#ThankYouSTLMedicalHeroes” t-shirts for $20 and donating $10 from each sale to be able to buy meals to donate to HEALTHCARE HEROES who have been working in the fight against COVID-19.
