“When the virus came up, one of the issues was, we were quarantining at home, so where could we go? We didn’t want to go out to a restaurant, but we had to do our grocery shopping and to the hardware store, which we were reluctant to do. Jennifer Russell, the Community Life Services Director of Friendship Village Chesterfield, has been an employee of the Village for 25 years! In her time here, the positive change Jen has affected in seniors’ lives is endless. Over the course of her tenure, she has grown the activities department to be more robust than ever before. Beginning with 12 volunteers in 1994, Jen now has 173 that have combined provided 12,328 hours in the last calendar year.
