Question: What’s your favorite activity to do in your free time and why? Answer: “I’ve always been a reader. I’m working on a biography right now about Laura Ingalls Wilder’s life who wrote Little House on the Prairie, which is 500 pages in small text that has been very interesting. But I’ll read fiction as well. I really like historical fiction set in a context of years. For example, the British books about King Henry and his wives – I’ve read most of those. Question: How did your gardening hobby become so large? Answer: “I was big into gardening. When I was younger, about eight or nine years old, I had an aunt who got me involved in gardening with rosebushes and things like that. When I got married, we took some classes on how to garden your landscape and one thing led to another. I met Pat (Pat Weber, George’s wife) and fortunately or unfortunately, it was good and I got a little distracted. So, my grades were average. Question: What do you think made you love arts and crafts? Answer: “I love paper. I’ve enjoyed crafts since I was young, and I always had an endless supply of paper that my dad would bring home from work. It’s a way for me to express myself and it’s fun!
