Question: What is your favorite thing to do? Answer: “My favorite thing is to play pool. It’s a good hobby. It keeps my mind concentrated. I used to play pool a long time ago when I was working, but I’m happy I’m playing now (at Friendship Village). And I really like working on puzzles, too. Question: What made you want to get involved with the Humane Society? Answer: “My husband and I had Basset Hounds that we’d truck around from place to place with the kids as we moved, and I never had animals growing up. A somber, but substantial and prayerful group was on hand for the annual Friendship Village Sunset Hills Memorial Service which paid tribute to the 95 residents we lost in 2019. There were words and songs of remembrance and strength in our group as we took a few moments to honor the loved ones who left our community, but will always remain in our hearts. The annual Memorial Service for Friendship Village Chesterfield will be scheduled soon.

Pathway Health announces Friendship Village has achieved the INTERACT Center of Excellence designation! Friendship Village Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation is the first organization to achieve this status! To achieve this, Friendship Village commited to a rigorous certification program which promotes reducing unnecessary hospital readmissions utilizing the INTERACT Quality Improvement Program. Question: Do you miss anything about working? Answer: “Probably the people I worked with. That’s about it. I’m so busy outside of here (Friendship Village). My time at Barnes (Jewish Hospital) is very important to me. I do a lot of volunteering. What I get out of volunteering is being involved and helping others. I’ve been privileged. I’ve been blessed. Answer: “So I get this knock on the door when I moved in and this woman said, ‘You left something on the truck,’ and I didn’t know what it could be.
