Life is full of “ups” and “downs.” We rejoice during many triumphs: graduating with a degree, getting a new job, finding that special someone, the birth of child, and so much more. We also lament over many setbacks: a sudden layoff, the ending of a relationship, lingering illness, and the sting of death. In the midst of pain, it can be hard to trust in the goodness of God. Yet, He is never absent in our trials. He is not aloof or uncaring. We have the promise of His Word – in ALL things, He is working! He takes even the darkest moments of our lives and reworks them to still accomplish His purposes and bring about a greater good. The Lord is for us, not against us! No matter what we are facing today, let’s choose to put our hope in Him. Our faithful God is here to help. ?
