“Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.” - Proverbs 12:25 (NLT)
I decided years ago that I would stop worrying. Before the day was done, I was worried over whether I could stop worrying. Then I worried because I was worrying about worrying! The more I focused on worry, the heavier it weighed on me. It was awful! Then an encouraging word cheered my heart: “Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares for you”- 1 Peter 5:7. God never intended me to carry such weight. He wanted to ease my burdens with the comfort of His presence. Are you weighed down with cares? Consider trusting the Lord to carry them for you. He cares for you!
