In the days of the prophet Joel, times were tough. Locusts and drought had destroyed the fields. Attacks from enemy nations had led to fear and depression. The hardships of life seemed unrelenting. Into that heartache, God spoke. First, He called the people to examine their hearts, cast off sinful ways, and to return to the Lord. Second, He gave them a promise: there was hope for all to be rescued. All who called on the Lord would be saved! Today, that same call speaks to us. As we submit ourselves to Him, we can expect to find mercy, strength, and the ability to endure and overcome all
that we face. Let’s call on Him today! He is the Savior!
