What happens when you are afraid? If you’re like me, your heart races. Your hands shake and thoughts scramble. You might want to run away, or you might want to hide. Then there are days when it seems all these reactions happen at the same time. That’s a bad day. Thankfully we are not alone, even though it may feel that way. Help might come through a knock on your door as someone checks to see if you’re okay. Help might come through the listening ear of a staff member or a familiar voice over the phone that calms our inner storm. Ultimately, we have someone who never leaves us nor forsakes us. His name is Jesus. He is our ever-present help in time of need. He is someone that we can safely say… “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in Him!”
