“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” - Matthew 5:3
There is a blessing found from being “poor in spirit.” It’s when we live by simple humility. It’s knowing we aren’t supposed to somehow come up with strength on our own, but rather by daily dependence on God. In the midst of our lack, He remains ever strong! As we bring our needs to Him and persevere by trusting in His goodness and love, Jesus promises that the “kingdom of heaven” is made available to us. All the resources of heaven – all the love, hope, joy, peace, comfort, and support we need – are made available to each of us. Lord we need You! Thank You for Your help!
