For sheep, being in a green pasture is like being at the best buffet ever. The Psalmist is letting us know that we can count on the Lord to meet our need with His abundance. We can rest secure in His care, knowing that He is constantly at work to bring us into a place of peace and provision if we will only trust Him as our Shepherd. Quiet waters represent a place where we can find calm and safety away from the tumult of the world. If the circumstances of life have battered your soul, please know the Lord wants to restore you in every way. Let’s hold fast to the Shepherd who loves us dearly. He will surely care for our every need.
