The Apostle Paul certainly experienced his share of hard times. When he wrote his letter to the church in Philippi, he had been unjustly imprisoned. It would have been easy for him to be bitter and to center himself in on-going complaint and frustration. Instead, he chose to look at a bigger picture. What was God up to? How was the Lord actually working in the midst of this adversity? The truth is that every hardship gives us a chance to trust the Lord and to realize that He has a way of turning all things to the good. Even right now today, we can find peace knowing the Lord is at work and advancing His Kingdom!
