What a powerful verse! It reminds us that a mighty tree is not made strong on its own, but rather thrives because of its water source. The Lord provides sustenance and strength to all who look to Him as their source. As we reach out to Him and draw nourishment, He provides us with all we need to weather every adversity. Even the stark deserts of Israel are interrupted by scattered oases because of underground springs that provide refreshing despite the surrounding harsh conditions. Let’s not be overcome by the heat of fear and worry but reach out to find our strength in the Lord!
