And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. - Matthew 6:12
God lets us have a new start. No matter the mistakes of yesterday, as we turn to Him, we discover that He gives us the opportunity to begin anew with a clean slate. We simply admit our failures and sins, turn and learn from them, and ask Him to wash us clean. He is faithful, just, and oh so kind…and He gives us the help we need to move beyond the past. What a blessing that is! That’s Good News for all of us today. As He gives us forgiveness, He also asks us to give it away, to make the choice to be gracious with others and not count their sins and failures against them. All of us can live in the flow of mercy and grace if we only humble ourselves before the Lord…and before one another. Let’s thank the Lord for a fresh start today! And let’s consider how we can give that same fresh start to someone else. It’s a new day!
