Have you ever eaten too much of the wrong thing and then regretted it? Perhaps it was too much Halloween candy or too many Christmas cookies. We all know the difference between foods that are unhealthy and foods that are nutritious. We get to decide which foods we will use to regularly fill up, with the resulting consequences or benefits. Jesus tells us that there is blessing, a state of joy or true contentment, for those who have a hunger and thirst for righteousness. All too often we “feast” on worry, fear, anger, and frustration. We can make the choice to instead fill up on what is righteous and healthy, what is noble and true, and what is praiseworthy and virtuous. Today is a day to be filled by all that is good and right!
