“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” - Matthew 11:28
Jesus sent this invitation to ALL of us who are weary and burdened. It is not for a select few who have successfully jumped through enough hoops to have gained His attention. No! He calls out to each of us with an offer to provide much needed rest when we are exhausted from the heaviness of life. His offer is not a quick fix that will necessarily make everything fine with the snap of a finger. What He does offer is something far greater. It is the gift of His presence that calms a troubled soul, comforts a grieving heart, and gives rest to all who come to Him. Let’s look to Him today…and find rest.
