“Be on your guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be men of courage. Be strong. Do everything in love.” - 1 Corinthians 15:13-14
In a season of change and possible confusion, the Apostle Paul gave the church five quick words of advice to help us know how to live in tough times. His wisdom reminds us that we need to remain on our guard – not just against a virus, but also against fear, frustration, worry, and disgruntlement. Instead, we are to stand firm in the faith! We can hold on to our trust in the Lord, His love, His promise to be with us, and His determination to see us through this season. That will require courage which the Father pours out to us so that we have the strength to stand strong when the pressure is on. And the key to making all this work is the daily decision to embrace love as our motivating force. His love keeps us moving forward at all times. Let’s trust in that love…and stand strong!
