Two former disciples of Jesus had opted to walk away. They could not understand why the One in whom they had placed all their hopes had been tortured and crucified. They were filled with questions, disappointment, and confusion. But the risen Jesus sought them out and came alongside in order to reveal what God had been up to all along. There are moments in life when we are left wondering and perhaps feeling lost as well. In the same way, Jesus wants to meet us where we are and lead us into all truth. Let’s open our hearts anew to His Word and let Him bring us His hope and peace.
