The Apostle Peter was a brash man, quick with his words, and determined to take action. On one hand, he was the only one to obey Jesus when the Lord called him out of the boat to join Him on the water, and he was the first to declare that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of God. But he also the caved into fear and denied the Lord on the night it mattered most. Yet, Peter also knew the power of forgiveness. Christ later came to him and gave Peter the chance to affirm his love and devotion. He got a fresh start! Love looks beyond our faults to see who we really are. Let’s be generous with our love and gracious with those who sin against us, just as God is with us.
