Cleopas and his friend were overwhelmed with grief at the crucifixion of Jesus. All of their hopes for the future had been crushed. Little did they know that Jesus had already risen! As they walked along, Jesus came alongside, though they did not recognize Him. He met them at the point of their pain…and surprised them with new hope! Our disappointments & hurts matter to the Lord…and He is present to help us start again.
