The late Henry Ford is credited for saying, “Whether you think you can, or think you can’t…you’re right!” Much of our ability to thrive in life comes down to what we internally believe is truly possible. Often, life brings unforeseen obstacles and situations that are beyond our control. But does that mean we are powerless? Jesus constantly told stories to His hearers to help them to think differently. Luke 18 includes the story of a persistent widow who repeatedly demanded justice from an obstinate and uncaring judge. In the end, she prevailed. How much more can we expect our Heavenly Father who loves us, and cares deeply about our needs, to answer us in our time of crisis. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep looking to Him. The Lord Himself is telling us…don’t give up! The Answer is on the way!
