Then the sea arose because a great wind was blowing. So when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid. But He said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.” - John 6:18-20
Though many of the disciples were expert sailors and were well acquainted with navigating the Sea of Galilee, they were still caught by surprise when a sudden and unexpected storm came upon them. The adversity they faced was overwhelming. But there is no night so dark, no wind so strong, and no wave so high that it can keep Jesus away. No matter what is happening around you, He is with you! And He is the Savior.
