“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” - John 13:34-35
Maundy Thursday commemorates Jesus’ Last Supper with His disciples. “Maundy” is a Latin word which means “command,” and on that night Jesus gave a new command to His followers, “Love one another” – fully, without reservation, and with great compassion, just like He loves us!
