Shalom! This is the Hebrew word used for “peace” in today’s verse. It is more than a wish for tranquility of soul, although that is wonderful. Shalom is Heaven’s desire for you to experience wholeness and well-being in every way. All the money in the world could not have bought us this kind of peace. It required the Lord to willingly take our punishment upon Himself. He did so out of deep love and yearning for every single one of us, including you! Shalom!
