Today may be April Fool’s Day, but it is also Maundy Thursday. “Maundy” is derived from the Latin “mandatum” and means “commandment.” Jesus wasn’t fooling around when He gathered with His disciples for His Last Supper and gave them a new command: Love one another. Love is the essence of who God is. Loving Him and truly loving others is the reason we were created. Every sense of purpose and meaning that we are meant to know is built on this truth. God loves us with an everlasting love, and He hopes to share His love through each of us. His love makes all the difference!
