At the time when the prophet Isaiah wrote these words, he had just prophesied that the Babylonians would one day pillage the land. It would be a terrible time, but it would not last. He also declared that God would bring an answer and that comfort would surely come. When we go through hard times, those who look to the Lord can find hope for a new day. God wants to fill us all with His divine strength and endurance. Let’s hold fast to our trust in Him. He is with us!
