Being in an earthquake is a scary experience because our very foundation no longer feels safe. Some earthquakes shake our emotional foundations and cause us to question the hopes and truths that we once held dear. Yet, there remains One who is not shaken by outward circumstance or the sudden difficulties of the day. Nothing surprises Him or catches Him unprepared. As we trust in the Lord, believing in His goodness and love, we can be filled with a peace that allows us to remain sure-footed and secure regardless of how much things seem to shake around us. Let’s holdfast to our faith in God. He will remain with us at all times and direct our ways.
