"Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. " - Ephesians 6:11
In the Old Testament, the prophet Isaiah tells us that as God worked to intervene in the world to bring redemption, He apparently wore armor. He put on His breastplate of righteousness and wore the helmet of salvation. In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul instructs us to put on this same armor. When we embrace God’s armor for ourselves (His truth, His righteousness, divine peace, faith, the salvation He offers, the power of His Word, and more) we have all we need to stand strong and overcome whatever we might face!
