“For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under Heaven.” - Ecclesiastes 3:1
“Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all.” Stanley Horowitz
Fall is a season of change. We move away from the heat of Summer and move towards the cold of winter. It’s a transition when trees turn every shade of red, yellow, orange, brown, yellow and green. People gather around bonfires with roasted marshmallows as leaves crunch beneath our feet.
It’s a season of both grief and joy. Summer Lovers grieve the loss of extra sunshine and gardening while Winter Lovers celebrate the soon coming snow and holidays. Autumn reminds us that life is filled with letting go of the old while laying hold of the new.
As long as we have breath, we will have such times. My hope and prayer is that we will sense God’s loving presence through it all.
