“He held fast to the LORD and did not stop following him; he kept the commands the LORD had given Moses. And the LORD was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook.” - 2 Kings 18:6-7
2 Kings 18 tells the story of King Hezekiah who started his reign when he was 25 years old. The Bible says that he trusted the Lord and strove to do what was right. When the pressure was on, he clung to his commitment to the Lord and did not give in to despair. As we face our own pressure and trials, we too can choose to cling to the Lord by keeping His commands and endeavoring to live with His character and heart. Just as the Lord was with Hezekiah, the Lord will be with us. Success and victory are in the wings, waiting to overtake us as we hold fast to Him!
