“The widow who is really in need and left alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help.” - 1 Timothy 5:5
This passage demonstrates hope in the context of grief and loss. “What was” is no longer “what is.” This is honest talk about actually having needs, and being alone in it. What do we do in these moments, seasons, years? Where do we put our hope? This lady chose to put her hope in God. It empowered her to continue night and day. Placing her hope in God, who is present when no one else is, she rose up in the form of asking Him for help. Why? Because hope dares to dream there can be more, especially when we have God. Keep dreaming…and let hope rise within you!
