"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time." - 1 Peter 5:6
God directs us, but He often does so gently. He doesn’t force His will or His ways upon us. If we are stubborn and refuse to listen, He lets us…but He will continue to work to draw us back to Him and set things right. On the other hand, if we are humble, if we admit how much we need Him, and if we submit to His Word and purpose to honor Him with our lives, God promises to cause His blessing to prevail. The Good News includes the idea that it’s never too late to turn to the Lord. He is here to help, even right now, and He wants to lift us up!
