During the time of King David, the people celebrated and gave thanks as the Ark of the Covenant was brought in to reside in the city. They were overcome with gratitude that the presence of God had come to literally dwell with them. We may face obstacles in life, but the presence of the Lord makes all the difference. Let’s count our blessings and give God thanks for being with us. As America also celebrates Flag Day, we can choose to remember how this nation has purposed to unify under one banner to support the ideals of life and liberty. May we ever celebrate that freedom, giving thanks to the Lord!
