“After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.” - Job 42:10
The story of Job is filled with heartache and pain. The man, through no fault of his own, lost his children, his home, his health, and his money – all in a very short span of time. Yet, through it all, Job stayed true to the Lord. He refused to compromise his character or his devotion despite the hardships that had overtaken his life. In the end, the Lord restored Job. This turnaround didn’t take away the pain of his past, but it gave Job a future he could again enjoy. Times of trial are temporary. The love of God is eternal. Let’s keep our eyes on the Lord, trust in His goodness, follow His direction, and know that better days are ahead!
