There is so much competition for our attention. What is it that we allow to ever be set before our eyes? Is it the latest news article? Do we inundate our hearts and minds with all of the on-going doom and gloom stories around us? It’s certainly good to be informed and then to carefully plan, take precautions, and use wisdom. But, if we are not careful, we can all too easily become mere carriers of despair and misery. Through that fog, it is possible to set our hearts on a higher vision! When we purposely choose to fix our gaze on the Lord and His ways, stability and strength come into our lives. The Lord always moves with compassion, but He is never shaken by adversity. Let’s trust Him today. Let’s choose to make Him the center of our heart’s attention. As we do, we will find that we also are not shaken.
