Trusting in God feels easier when life is smooth and everything seems to be going our way. However, when we face extended hardship and disappointment, we can begin to wonder whether God is actually involved in our lives at all. The Lord had told Abram that his descendants would one day outnumber the stars. Decades later, Abram was still wondering if he was ever going to have any children. In fact, he had reached an age that seemed to suggest it would never happen. Yet, the Lord was calling Abram to not give in to fear about the future. The same message applies to us today. God is in control of the days to come. Let’s choose to persevere by believing that God is faithful to keep His promises. He will be our reward!
