Our Residents Had a Fantastic Adventure Seeing Holland, Amsterdam, and the Netherlands!
So many beautiful things to see on our trip to Holland and Amsterdam. Good times with great company!
Traveled aboard the first-class vessel, the MS Amadeus Riva to view beautiful tulip gardens and other quaint and picturesque locations in Holland and Belgium. The vessel cruised through a vast network of waterways and canals while passengers got to marvel at the architecture, charming villages, and scenic countryside in the unforgettable region.
We began our 12 day trip in the Netherlands with a stop at the Clara Maria Clog and Cheese Factory for a tour of how wooden clogs and delicious Dutch cheeses are made. Then we had a two day stop at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Den Bosch, Netherlands. We also took a boat canal tour of the area and tasted some delicious Dutch foods. Then we made our way back to Amsterdam but first with a stop at the amazing Keukenoff Gardens. These gardens are home to thousands of tulips.
In Belgium, we hiked up to the top of a medieval castle in Ghent, explored WWII history in Arnhem, marveled at the magnificent Grand Central Station in Antwerp, and took a guided walking tour of Bruges. Belgium wouldn’t be complete without a chocolate tasting and some Belgium waffles. As our tour came to an end, we had the opportunity to float past some of the world’s best-preserved windmills at Kinderdijk in the Netherlands and climbed to the top of an operating windmill.
