Three residents (who are military veterans) and our Wellness Coordinator Colleen were among those chosen for last week’s Greater St. Louis Honor Flight to Washington DC! This flight was a Women of Valor flight and featured female veterans exclusively (a first!). The group of thirty-four veterans and guests flew to see the sights in Washington DC and then did a same-day turnaround back to St. Louis where they were welcomed home with a parade inside Lambert International Airport featuring bagpipers, a Color Guard, Girl Scout troops, and more! It was a fantastic adventure and a much-deserved celebration of our awesome veterans!
And the icing on the cake was Dave Glover Showand KMOX News graciously inviting us to the studio to tell the stories on the radio Tuesday! That was an awesome experience and we’re so grateful we got to share everything with Dave and his listeners!
