Friendship Village Senior Services’ Update and Response to COVID-19 as of Friday, January 22nd, 2021
Assisted Living and Independent Living Vaccination Day #1 was a success! On Thursday, January 21st, all Assisted Living and Independent Living residents received the first dose of the Moderna vaccine in a day full of excitement and joyful anticipation of the future. In all, more than 400 immunizations were administered on the Chesterfield campus and more than 525 immunizations were administered on the Sunset Hills campus. There were no adverse reactions at either location. Our Good Lord has provided. We look forward to their second doses to be administered on Thursday, February 18th.
Next Monday, January 25th, second doses will be provided to residents of the Sunset Hills Skilled Nursing Facility and on Tuesday, January 26th, second doses will be provided to residents of the Chesterfield Skilled Nursing Facility. We can’t wait!
Reports of current confirmed cases of COVID-19 on the campuses are positive. As of today:
Chesterfield

- Assisted Living has 0 COVID+ residents.
- Independent Living has 1 COVID+ resident who is asymptomatic and 3 under quarantine for observation due to possible exposure but no symptoms.
Sunset Hills

Both Villages remain under a No Visitor policy until both vaccinations are complete and have taken effect.
We are always thankful to our Lord for providing these wonderful opportunities for us and for our partners at Walgreens to help get it accomplished. Please pray with us that 2021 will be a year of relief and joy as we continue to fight this fight. The new year is already getting off to a great start!
