Friendship Village Senior Services’ Update and Response to COVID-19 as of Monday, January 11th, 2021
There are encouraging and exciting days ahead at Friendship Villages on this Monday, January 11th, 2021.
We thank our Lord Jesus Christ for protection and healing during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have been blessed to be able to provide a positive report on our COVID-19 status on this day.
Chesterfield
- Skilled Nursing has 0 COVID+ residents.
- Assisted Living has 0 COVID+ residents.
- Independent Living has 0 COVID+ residents, though one remains under quarantine for observation due to possible contact.
Sunset Hills
- Skilled Nursing has 0 COVID+ residents.
- Assisted Living has 0 COVID+ residents.
- Independent Living has 1 COVID+ resident in-house and 3 under quarantine due to possible contact but with no symptoms.
Both Villages remain under a No Visitor policy.
MOVING DAY! Skilled nursing and long-term care residents at Sunset Hills will spend the next three days moving from the original Skilled Nursing Facility, occupied for the past 43 years, into a brand new, state-of-the-art facility that will offer not only better accommodations but better protection from problems such as COVID-19.
IMMUNIZATION DAYS COMING UP! Our partners at Walgreen’s have committed to being on campus to vaccinate all Assisted Living and Independent Living residents on both campuses on Thursday, January 21st. This will be a very big event in both scale and uplifting hope. Second doses will be administered on February 18th. Second doses for skilled nursing residents and employees will be on January 25th at Sunset Hills and January 26th at Chesterfield. We could not be more excited for all of this to occur. All residents must submit consent forms and current insurance information to administration now.
We are very thankful to our Lord for providing these opportunities for us and for our partners at Walgreens to help get it accomplished. Please pray with us that 2021 will be a year of relief and joy as we continue to fight this fight. The new year is already getting off to a great start!
