Friendship Village Senior Services’ Update and Response to COVID-19 as of Friday, February 12th, 2021
One week to go until the second round of COVID-19 vaccinations for our independent living residents that will take place on Thursday, February 18th!
Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care residents and employees have already received second doses and are now well past the fourteen-day incubation period and are doing very well.
Since St. Louis County’s COVID-19 prevalence rate is declining, we are looking forward to phasing visits back into our skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, as permitted by the county, over the next few weeks. For independent living, we anticipate relaxing the no visitor policy on March 4th, which is 14 days after the second vaccine dose.
Perhaps due to the vaccination status, residents in skilled nursing and assisted living have no cases of COVID-19 at this time.
COVID-19 status as of today:
Chesterfield
- Skilled Nursing has 0 COVID+ residents.
- Assisted Living has 0 COVID+ residents.
- Independent Living has 3 COVID+ residents, all acquired off campus, who are doing well in recovery at this time. Five others are in routine, precautionary quarantine.
Sunset Hills
- Skilled Nursing has 0 COVID+ residents.
- Assisted Living has 0 COVID+ residents.
- Independent Living has 0 COVID+ residents and none in quarantine.
Both Villages remain under a No Visitor policy as noted above.

As always, we are thankful to our Lord for providing these wonderful opportunities for us and for our partners at Walgreens to help get it accomplished. Please pray with us that 2021 will be a year of relief and joy as we continue to fight this fight. We are looking forward to a better year!
