Friendship Village senior living communities have been rated among America’s best nursing homes by a recent U.S. News & World Report, 2018-19 Best Nursing Homes study.
Friendship Village Sunset Hills and Friendship Village Chesterfield both received high scores in the overall ranking, receiving 5 out of 5 marks. Less than 2% (10 of 520) of nursing homes in the St. Louis area received this ranking.
“This is great news for current and future residents of Friendship Village because it confirms our commitment to providing the best senior care available,” said Terry Walsh, CEO. “It is also a great recognition of our dedicated staff.”
The most recent U.S. News & World Report publication evaluated and rated more than 15,000 nursing homes nationwide. Overall ratings are based on health inspection findings, nursing staffing and medical quality measures. To be on the list, nursing homes needed to receive an overall score from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in July and a staffing rating in either April or July to be eligible.
“I am happy to hear that Friendship Village is getting the recognition it deserves,” said Mrs. Shirley Brady, Senior Living Resident. “I can’t say enough great things about the care center staff. I live in a Villa and volunteer there, they are five star and do an excellent job.”
This ranking comes at a great time for Friendship Village senior living communities as both locations are currently undergoing expansion in order to accommodate the growing number of seniors who want to move to one of its two campuses.
