Friendship Village Senior Services’ Update and Response to COVID-19 as of Friday, October 2, 2020
Dear Friends, Residents and Families of Friendship Village:
What a beautiful Fall week this has been at Friendship Villages leading up to Friday, October 2nd, 2020.
In the two weeks since our last update, there have been no new cases of COVID-19 among the Residents of Friendship Villages in Chesterfield or Sunset Hills in any level of care in independent living, assisted living or skilled nursing. We have been blessed to have had this status for many weeks and we continuously thank our residents for being diligent and adhering to the protocols that have been in place for many months.
There are currently three employees under quarantine at home, two who are positive and one who was in contact with someone who tested positive. We pray for their rapid and healthy return.
We continue to maintain very close contact with government officials and monitoring changing guidelines on visitor restrictions in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Although Friendship Villages have been blessed with a track record of being COVID-free, the restrictions are based on overall community and county COVID rates. As soon as restrictions change, we immediately do the same and work very hard to make sure families are informed. We are very anxious to open up to visitors and to get our residents reunited with their loved ones as soon as the opportunity arises.
Please pray with us as we continue our fight to protect our residents and staff. It’s a fight worthy of the best we can give.
The Lord is with us.
