Here’s an interesting story posted this month in the St. Louis Business Journal discussing the challenges facing senior living communities locally and nationwide. The publication spoke with Friendship Village as well as other local communities.
Our own Chief Strategy Officer and Chesterfield Interim Executive Director Carmen Fronczak was interviewed for the story and talked about how Friendship Village’s two campuses have fared during the pandemic as some have put off their plans to move.
Despite the recent challenges since March and April, Fronczak noted Friendship Village has filled 80 new apartments at the two campuses in Sunset Hills and Chesterfield.
“It’s going to take some time to recover. We’re just starting again to give in-person tours ,” said Fronczak, but with Friendship Village’s new construction projects at both campuses totaling over $200 million, we are more than ready to accommodate the new boom in need for the over-70 demographic wanting a home in a senior living community.
