Dear Friends, Residents and Families of Friendship Village:
It’s a cold and blustery morning on this Monday, April 13, 2020 and all of us at Friendship Village, Residents and staff alike, send warm greetings, praying that your Easter was good and that we will all be able to gather together again, soon.
Residents at all of our levels of care at both Villages are full of energy and are already charging forward into the new day and planning their activities and pastimes.
The excellent staff at our Chesterfield skilled nursing facility continue their work to contain the coronavirus discovered in our positive resident and are doing everything they can to protect other residents as well as themselves. They are great at what they do and are doing a fantastic job in this challenging situation and we fully appreciate their dedicated service to our residents.
We are still enforcing a very strict, No-Visitor policy, everywhere on campus. We also continue to strongly discourage Residents from leaving the campus if not an absolute emergency. None of us can ever know where exposure to the COVID-19 coronavirus can occur, so we need to avoid the risk as completely as we can.
Gifts of Appreciation for the Staff:
We have been asked by many families about how they could send a gift or donation in appreciation for the sacrifices and the extraordinary efforts our staff is undertaking to care for their family member. In response, we are setting up a way to contribute either online or through the mail or by telephone if anyone would like to send a gift of appreciation to the staff. As soon as this is ready, we will post it on our website and send a note. We sincerely and warmly welcome your generosity. Rest assured that every penny contributed for the staff will go only to the staff. We can’t thank you enough for these gifts.
Thank you all for your continued prayers as we continually ask our Lord Jesus Christ to enable us to do our best to fend-off the COVID-19 coronavirus and to maintain the safety and protection of our Residents and staff.
We need and gladly accept donations of face masks of both the clinical and/or hand-made washable cloth types. We will put them to immediate and good use. Just drop them off at the door!
