Friendship Village Senior Services’ Update and Response to COVID-19 as of April 12, 2020
Friendship Village in Chesterfield regrets to announce that a skilled nursing resident has tested positive for COVID-19. Since early March, the facility has practiced stringent preventive measures meeting and exceeding guidelines set by local and State Departments of Health and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). All staff are continuously monitored and screened for symptoms of COVID-19, and when detected, the employee quarantines at home until clear. Likewise, residents are continuously monitored for signs and symptoms and referred for immediate testing if indicated, as was in this case. No visitors are permitted. The resident is currently under strict quarantine and staff continue to exercise all precautions to prevent the spread of the disease while providing the best of care to the resident.
