The Missouri Botanical Garden
The Missouri Botanical Garden is one of our favorite places to spend a morning, especially since there’s no entry fee on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 7am-12pm! The beautiful gardens and spaces make for the perfect walking location! Guided tram tours are also available for $5 and are a great way to see and learn about the gardens from a seated view.
The Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Tour
We all know Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate has delicious chocolate-covered strawberries, but they also have free factory tours five days-a-week. Do your grandkids love chocolate? Feel free to bring them along on this sweet adventure.
Grant’s Farm
Grant’s Farm is another fun outing for both you and your grandkids to enjoy with free general admission! They’ll love taking the tram ride, feeding the goats, and riding the carousel. Make sure you go to see the famous Clydesdale horses too! Grant’s Farm also hosts Weekend Summer Nights with great food, live music, and a drone show!
Laumeier Sculpture Park
Laumeier Sculpture Park is just six minutes away from our Sunset Hills campus, but we don’t just frequently visit because of proximity. The sculpture park has many modern art installations to take in during a walk or a picnic! They occasionally offer walking tours – so make sure to check their calendar of events!
The Hill
When looking to grab a bite to eat, The Hill is a popular go-to! You can’t go wrong with any of the historic Italian restaurants – Zia’s, Favazza’s, and Anthonino’s are some of our favorites. When we’re in the neighborhood, we always have to stop at Missouri Baking Co. for their famous chocolate drops, of course!
Tower Tee and Family Golf and Learning Center
Tower Tee and Family Golf and Learning Center are favorite golfing landmarks of St. Louis! Our golf-loving residents frequently head to Tower Tee or Family Golf and Learning Center for a Quick 9 or to hit a bucket of balls!
Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour
Anheuser-Busch is a staple for St. Louisans, and offers a variety of tours of their famous brewery. Explore the historic campus, pet the Clydesdales, and, of course, taste the beer!
The Fabulous Fox and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra
The Fabulous Fox is not only known for hosting incredible Broadway shows, (Hamilton is coming back to STL for the 2024 season!) but they also host many fun family productions, comedians, and concerts! You can get a behind the scenes look at the stunning theater with a 90-minute walking tour throughout all five stories for just $10. We also love going to see the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra for matinee performances. During the season, our residents get to go monthly with discounted tickets!

Who doesn’t love a good deal? St. Louis Premium Outlets in Chesterfield has more than 100 discounted designer and brand name retail stores. Shop Ann Taylor, Talbots, Coach and more!
Forest Park
It wouldn’t be a list of the best places to go in STL, if we didn’t include Forest Park! Our residents love catching a show at The Muny, golfing at The Highlands, and walking around the Art Museum! There’s so much to see there that you can make a full day of it. You can even stop by the Boat House for a bite to eat!
