Morning:
Start the day by reviewing menus, inspecting deliveries, and coordinating with the culinary team. Our chefs are encouraged to get creative and introduce new dishes to the table. We regularly update the menu to highlight fresh, seasonal ingredients!
Next, it’s time to get cooking! Our chefs lead the team in getting everything prepped and ready for the day, from chopping vegetables to adding seasonings. At Friendship Village, we know how important it is to have the right tools for the job, which is why all of our kitchens have top quality equipment and are always stocked with the freshest ingredients.
Lunch & Dinner:
Lunch and dinner are our busiest times of the day! During these meals our chefs ensure each dish is prepared to perfection and plated with artistry, while fostering a positive and efficient kitchen environment. As residents gather for mealtimes, our chefs take the time to connect with them, gather feedback, and see the smiles their work brings! Residents at Friendship Village are genuinely grateful for the delicious and nutritious meals created by our talented culinary team.
Early Evening:
As the dinner service winds down, our chefs oversee the kitchen’s closing procedures. Inventory is checked, workstations are cleaned, and tomorrow’s prep work is organized.
