Psalm 22 is an amazing psalm. Written hundreds of years before the time of Christ, it is filled with incredible images that foreshadow and prophetically proclaim in great specifics the heartache and suffering that Jesus would undergo at the end of His life. At the same time, it also describes the glorious victory that would be accomplished in the end. The One who suffered so greatly ends up being exalted over everything. Hardship and difficulty are not the final end of His story…and will not be the end of ours either. The Lord is with us! He is ultimately in charge, and works all things to accomplish His purposes. We can trust Him today, for He rules and reigns!
