Reflection

It is reported that Abraham Lincoln once remarked, “If it takes 6 hours to cut down a tree, I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” The work of sharpening the blade is what makes the cutting process effective. It is the Lord’s intent that His goodness and love would powerfully flow through our lives to touch the world around us in a meaningful way. As we work together (encouraging, strengthening, and helping one another), we become effective tools in the hands of the Lord to make a quality difference.
